::Research Area::

1. Study on biosynthesis, biodegradation and biotransformation of biopolymers, which related to environment science, pharmacy, clean industrial production, agriculture, energy and reuse of waste materials. Construction of minimal genome and gene engineering bacteria by the methods of synthetic biology and metabolic engineering. For example, synthesis of PHAMCL, g-PGA, fructo-oligosaccharide, and alginate oligosaccharides etc.

2. Study on Environmental Microbiology (including exploitation of microbial

resource and its diversity).
