Research Fields

Research interests: Cardiovascular biomaterials and tissue engineering

(1) Small-diameter artificial blood vessel materials: focusing on the construction of multi-functional active vessel scaffold materials. Biodegradable micro-nano vascular materials were prepared by electrostatic spinning and melt spinning, and the pore structure, fiber orientation, mechanical properties and degradation behavior of vascular materials were designed and optimized. The vascular materials were modified by activity and functionalization to fix growth factors, anticoagulant molecules, endothelial cells to capture molecules and vasoactive substances. Rapid cytalization, endothelialization, medium and outer membrane regeneration were realized. With the complete degradation of the material, the blood vessels are completely regenerated, with the same structure and function as natural blood vessels, maintaining long-term patency.

(2) Stem cell therapy for ischemic diseases: Stem cell therapy is carried out for common myocardial ischemia, lower limb ischemia, renal ischemia and other diseases, mainly mesenchymal stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS); The preparation of stem cell transplantation vector materials, mainly various active hydrogels, regulates the proliferation, differentiation and secretion of stem cells and improves the survival rate of transplanted stem cells. To develop novel molecular probes to trace the behavior, function and fate of transplanted stem cells in vivo. The stem cells were treated with materials and engineering methods to regulate the functions of stem cells, including exosome secretion and exosome function regulation. The functional culture of stem cells was carried out to improve the proliferation ability and anti-apoptosis ability of stem cells.

(3) Other biological materials, including drug-controlled release, nano-drugs, nano-vaccines, including nerve, skin, cartilage and other tissue repair and regeneration materials.
