南开大学生命科学学院教授,博士生导师

1994年7月获湖南农业大学博士学位。1999年9月~2000年7月,芬兰Kuopio大学访问学者;2000年8月~2002年1月,西班牙高等科学委员会Aula Dei中心博士后。主讲本科生“生物化学”、硕士生“植物生物技术”“细胞工程”等课程。

研究方向:植物抗逆(强光、干旱、耐盐等)的分子生理;种子衰老与寿命及活力保持的机制;抗除草剂基因的改造和功能研究。具体包括水稻β-葡萄糖苷酶等在种子寿命中的作用与机理;耐盐转录因子的改造及其作用机理及转基因粳稻新种质的创制。
