    南开大学生命科学学院植物学科教授、博士生导师。植物生物学和生态学系主任。1989年东北林业大学植物学专业获理学硕士学位,并留校任教。1997年日本东京大学大学院农学生命科学研究科植物学专业获农学博士学位。2001年日本农林水产省森林综合研究所完成特别研究员研究,同年由东北林业大学林学博士后流动站出站。历任东北林业大学讲师、副教授、教授和博士生导师,中科院地理科学与资源研究所知识创新基地研究员、博士生导师。曾任日本北海道大学北方生物圈科学中心客座教授、日本东京大学新领域研究科自然环境科学特任教授、东京大学农学生命科学研究科特任教授。主持完成国家科技攻关、国家自然科学基金、省自然科学基金、教育部骨干教师基金、高等学校博士学科点基金等项目三十余项,获国家科技进步三等奖1项、省部级科技进步二等奖4项、省部级科技进步三等奖4项;获2015年度南开大学教学名师奖。在国内外发表学术论文170余篇、著作10余部。主要研究领域为环境植物学、资源植物学与植物群落生态学。
