ResumeProfessor Lingyi Chen, recipient of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, has published more than 50 papers in high impact journals, including Cell, Nature, PNAS, Cell Research. The goal of his research is to understand the regulatory mechanisms underlying pluripotency maintenance and establishment, in embryonic stem cells and during early embryogenesis. How do embryonic stem cells maintain their differentiation potential while proliferate unlimited? How does a zygote differentiate into various types of cells? Particularly, how are the cell fates of the inner cell mass and the trophectoderm determined during the development of the blastocyst?
